About Nonnington Farm
“I'd rather be on my farm than be emperor of the world”- George Washington
Nonnington Farm sits in the beautiful South Downs National Park at the foot of the South Downs.
As well as earning its keep as a productive working farm; the greater purpose of the farm is to do something positive. We feel lucky to be here looking after all these wonderful animals in such a special location and we want to share the positivity. We hope to welcome people to the farm who are in need of a little peace, both through planned activities and through our charity.
As well as our wonderful farm animals, Nonnington Farm is also home to an abundance of wildlife. We have lots of exciting projects planned in order to support and improve the biodiversity here - planting hedgerows and wildflowers, hanging bat, owl and bird boxes, digging nature ponds, building bug hotels - the list just keeps growing!
Meet the team
-

Andy, part man, part machine. If something needs moving, lifting, fixing, building or towing Andy is your man. Andy can turn his hand to almost anything, although he has not yet discovered a way to get rid of all the mud on the farm. Andy is a life long builder turned Dr Doolittle.
-

David is the OG (Old Guy) of Nonnington, although regular mud facials keep his actual age a source of speculation. Since arriving at the farm, David has developed a passion for cleaning things, which has surprised everyone, himself included.
-

Emma has a deep love for nature, animals, and people. Her greatest wish is to combine all three at Nonnington Farm and to create something long-lasting and positive. Emma is happiest whilst wearing red lipstick and shovelling animal poo.

Harrison loves country life and studied agriculture at college. He enjoys working with animals and has a special knack for rounding them up when they are less than keen. He makes everyone smile with his funny stories and his animal names, based on individual traits… Shouty, Shoutier, Bitey… Harrison has a keen interest in poultry and we are looking forward to expanding our feathered flock.

Josh is a caring and friendly guy who is passionate about animals and has an HND in animal Management. He is knowledgeable about many types of creatures but has a special interest in reptiles and insects. His own Horsefield tortoise, Basil, lives his life in 5-star luxury, and Josh has a master plan to bring the magic of reptiles to Nonnington.

Lisa keeps smiling in all weathers. Her real love of the outdoors and nature always shines through. Lisa is a true “animal person” and is always happy to get stuck in. When Lisa is not working hard on the farm, you can find her busy being creative and making beautiful wooden objects.
-

Beau is a huge and very loyal Maremma Sheep dog. His main jobs are guarding the farm and spreading white fluff everywhere.
-

Marco is a Beauceron. He loves nothing more than causing mischief and eating wool. He loves to enthusiastically greet everyone that visits the farm (sometimes with a little too much enthusiasm…)
